Journal Web Page CommentsPapers should contain results from social and economic empirical studies.

Handbook comments: According to the website, “Submissions are accepted all year round with the current waiting time of max. 6 months.” This, however, is not true with desk reviews taking as long as 5 months and the first review cycle taking as much as 5 more months according to their emails to authors. Also, the journal’s APC of Euro 580 is only discovered once the author receives an email that their paper has been accepted for review, which in 2020 takes over 5 months. Long and difficult now. Always arrogant and a little bit deceptive, but they are SJRQ2 so maybe worth the stress of submission.

Journal Web Page Comments: BEH guide to authors

comments: This is another journal where an editor change made a huge difference in the type of papers that were acceptable. Although the title of the journal suggests they publish ‘business’ papers, after several very difficult submissions, it was determined they were only interested in ‘economic’ papers. To some degree, we noticed the same trend in other Eastern European journals, such as the Journal of International Studies. Although they state they want authors to use APA, the journal’s samples are not APA. This journal is probably not the best choice, especially since Scopus has discontinued coverage. It seems the new editor wasn't as smart as he thought he was.
