APC: Was 400 euro-increased to 500 Euro in 2021.

2023 APC 600 euro, 2024 to 800 Euro

Editor(s): Editor-in-Chief: Prof. dr Camil Sukic

Beall Listed: NO

Scopus Discontinued List: NO

Frequency: 4 per year.

Template: Use the Microsoft Word template to prepare your manuscript.

Do not reference any TEM papers and do not have more than 35 references. This is the editor's comments when they review.

Style: Numeric 2-column IEEE/APA hybrid.

Copyright: Yes. They send to you upon acceptance.

Similarity threshold: Not stated, but a Turnitin check is run. Scores higher than 10% are a problem. Also, higher individual scores on the report can also be a problem.

Submission process: Online but you cannot track.

Journal Web Page Comments:

AJR comments: TEM’s focus is papers about information communications technology (ICT). They use a strange mix of IEEE/APA for their 2 column template.

Also, based on multiple revisions of a paper that was finally published in November 2021, the following are requirements that are not stated in the author guidelines on on their template:

1. Total references should be 30-35.

2. Authors cannot cite themselves.

3. They do not want the paper to cite any TEM Journal papers. If you do cite a TEM Journal paper, only cite papers from the journal in 2020/2021 and in another journal. (This is a very strange request).

4. The 2024 website now states their APC has increased to 800 euro.

Structural Equation Modeling of Teaching Behavior in Internet Use of Teachers in Thailand

Editor(s): Various depending on section and discipline.

Beall Listed: NO

Scopus Discontinued List: NO

Frequency: Ongoing. Articles are assigned numbers instead of pages.

Template: Author guide.

Style: There are no strict requirements on reference formatting at submission, however we highly encourage the inclusion of DOIs to ensure references are citable and discoverable. References can be in any style or format as long as the style is consistent.

Copyright: Yes

Similarity threshold: Unknown

Submission process: Online with article tracking.

Journal Web Page Comments: “Heliyon is an all-science, open access journal that is part of the Cell Press family. Any paper reporting scientifically accurate and valuable research, which adheres to accepted ethical and scientific publishing standards, will be considered for publication. Our growing team of dedicated section editors, along with our in-house team, handle your paper and manage the publication process end-to-end, giving your research the editorial support it deserves.”

AJR comments: We suggest you use APA edition 7 at submission. Heliyon also requires you to provide the names of experts to review your paper. The submission and tracking system does not allow direct contact with your paper’s editor, only Elsevier’s support staff. This is a big negative with this journal as reviews are now dragging into the months, with authors having no easy, direct access to your paper’s editor. Also, recently a paper went through two different review processes, with two different sets of reviewers each time. We have never seen this done before. Your submission ease or difficulty seems to be dependent on which editor you draw, with education papers a bit easier to get through their process. What is interesting in the submission process is you are allowed to enter names of individuals you do NOT want as an editor or reviewer. Our list is getting longer. Finally, if your paper is accepted it heads off to India. Here they format it for Heliyon and send you a proof with questions. Good luck with this as in the last paper we did, it took 4 email exchanges to change the faculty name of one of the authors. Also, getting the payment into their system and getting acknowledgment is painfully slow. Heliyon loves bureaucracy as does its direct competitor, Sage Open.

The Declaration of Interests tool should always be completed.

The resulting Word document containing your declaration should be uploaded at the “attach/upload files” step in the submission process. It is important that the Word document is saved in the .doc/.docx file format. Author signatures are not required.

We advise you to read our policy on conflict of interest statements, funding source declarations, author agreements/declarations and permission notes

Reference format

This journal uses a numbered reference style (see below). Some guidelines:

  • Author names, journal or book titles, chapter or article titles, year of publication, volume numbers, article numbers or pagination must be included, where applicable.
  • Use of DOIs is recommended.

During proof stage, if required, we will ask you to correct or supply any missing reference data.

Reference style

Indicate references by adding a number within square brackets in line with the text (not superscript). You can refer to author names within your text, but you must always give the reference number, e.g., “as demonstrated [3,6]. Barnaby and Jones [8] obtained a different result ....”.

Number references in the order they appear in your article.

Journal Name: International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning

Good morning or good afternoon,

You are receiving this email because you are a registered author of the International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET). If this email does not pertain to you, please feel free to disregard it; we will not send any further communications.

We are writing to inform you about recent changes in the indexing status of our journal. As of now, iJET continues to be listed in Elsevier EI Compendex, EBSCO, dblp, and LearnTechLib. However, we regret to inform you that our coverage by Elsevier Scopus has been discontinued starting from iJET Vol. 18, No. 19, 2023. The last issue that Scopus covered is iJET Vol. 18, No. 18, 2023. This holds true, despite the Scopus Preview website continuing to indicate that iJET is still indexed. They usually take some time to update that page.

Kind regards,
The iJET Editorial Team

Handbook comments: Time to acceptance/review clearly stated. It is suggested that 3 papers from iJET or sister publications be cited. We highly recommend this journal and the sister journals as well (iJOE, iJIM). In our opinion, Dr. Auer is the best of the best. Many other ‘world class’ journals and their editors could learn a lot from Professor Auer.
