In the discussion in this forum regarding which is more credible between seyboldreport.org and seyboldreport.net, can be done in a number of ways, including:
1. Check DNS LOOKUP to see which website domain name was registered first, and contact information details, it can be assumed that a domain name that is registered first and has clearer contact information will have better credibility. Check at https://www. whois.com/whois/seyboldreport.org and https://www.whois.com/whois/seyboldreport.net . The result is that the Seyboldreport.org domain name is earlier than Seyboldreport.net and has more complete contact information
2. Check NSLOOKUP to see the A record and AAAA Record which is the translation of the domain name into an IP address, as well as showing the location of the Hosting, Server of the Website, it can be suspected that the website that displays the A Record and AAAA Record is checked at Nslookup.io/domains/ seyboldreport.org/dns-records/ and https://www.nslookup.io/domains/seyboldrepot.net/dns-records. Seyboldreport.org results show A Record and AAAA Record, while seyboldreport.net does not contain A Record and AAAA Record
3. Check Web traffic using Similarweb to see which websites are ranked higher, visited the most, which bounce rates are the best, which ones take longer to visit, and a larger number of page views. It can be assumed that websites with better web traffic indicators have better credibility. check at https://www.similarweb.com/website/seyboldreport.org/#overview and https://www.similarweb.com/website/seyboldreport.net/#overview. The results of seyboldreport.org webtraffic indicators are much better than seyboldreport.net
4. From the seyboldreport.net website, the issue's articles that are displayed and can be accessed directly are only from June 2022, and so on, for articles before June 2022 cannot be accessed directly because they are passworded. This seems to be in line because the domain name Seyboldreport.net was only registered in June 2022, check at https://www.whois.com/whois/seyboldreport.net. The existence of an article published in June 2022 by seyboldreport.net needs to be checked further because it is not in line with web traffic information which shows that in June 2022 the number of unique visitors to seyboldreport.net is zero, check at https://www.similarweb.com/ website/seyboldreport.net/#overview
5. Seyboldreport.org displays and can be accessed articles that have been published since November 2020 until now, even though the Seyboldreport.Org domain name was registered in May 2022, it can be assumed that Seyboldreport.Org continues the Seybold report on the publishing system. but why the articles start form November 2020 not from 2015, need to ask directly the seyboldreport.org administrator.
6. Online Journal Submission which provides various APC payment methods, not only bank transfers but also payments via PayPal, Credit cards are more credible than bank transfers only, and you must be very careful when asked to make payments using BitCoin. Seyboldreport.org provides APC payments via bank transfer and PayPal accounts. The method of payment for APC on the Seyboldreport.net website is unknown because information about how much APC and how to pay it was not found, and when I tried to send two emails to info@seyboldreport.net it failed and got a message 550 No Such User Here

Thailand’s tourism revenue falls short of annual target

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has projected a shortfall in its annual tourism revenue target, with this year’s earnings expected to reach 2.07 trillion baht (US$ 58,773,427,200) instead of the projected 2.38 trillion baht (US$ 67,575,244,800). TAT Governor, Thapanee Kiatphaibool, attributes this shortfall to the sluggish performance of international tourism receipts, which were significantly lower than the state’s target of 1.6 trillion baht (US$ 45,428,736,000).

Despite welcoming over 25 million foreign visitors as of December 3, the revenue generated from these arrivals was just 1.07 trillion baht (US$ 30,377,015,380). TAT predicts an additional 2 million foreign tourists in December, with their spending during the festive period expected to augment total international receipts to between 1.17 and 1.27 trillion baht (US$ 33,216,019,200 and 36,054,995,200).

Contrarily, domestic tourism demonstrated a robust performance, surpassing the state target with a recorded 228 million trips. By the year-end, Thai travellers are projected to have made 240 million trips, contributing 800 billion baht (US$ 22,711,808,000) to the overall tourism revenue, reported Bangkok Post.

The average spending per trip among foreign visitors was reported to be 42,000 baht (US$ 1,192), notably higher than pre-pandemic levels but still short of the projected 50,000 baht (US$ 1,419) per trip. Long-haul tourists, particularly from Russia and Israel, proved to be higher spenders, while visitors from Malaysia, Thailand’s largest inbound market, reduced the duration of their stay but visited more frequently.

Despite the visa exemption incentive, the number of Chinese tourists fell short of the TAT’s forecast of 4 million, with expectations now set around 3.4 to 3.5 million. Thapanee suggested that the flourishing domestic travel scene in China, offering competitive pricing, may have contributed to this shortfall.

Education Ministry assigned to improve Thais’ English proficiency

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has ordered the Education Ministry to come up with measures rapidly, to improve English proficiency among Thai people, students in particular, after Thailand’s very poor ranking on the global Education First (EF) English Proficiency Index 2023.

Government spokesman Chai Wacharonke said the order was made during a weekly Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

EF ranks 113 countries, where English is not the first language, based on scores in 2.2 million Education First Standardised English Tests taken in 2022. At the top of the list is the Netherlands, with an average score of 647 out of 800, followed by Singapore (631), while Denmark, scoring 615, and Norway, with 614, swapped places at fourth and fifth place.

Thailand is ranked 101st, which places the country below seven other ASEAN countries, namely Singapore, the Philippines (578 – 20th), Malaysia (568 – 25th), Vietnam (505 – 58th), Indonesia (473 – 79th), Myanmar (450 – 90th) and Cambodia in 98th place with 421. Laos and Brunei were excluded from the listing. The average score is 502.

Thailand’s score puts it in the category of “very low English proficiency” countries. It was also noted that Thailand’s average score has not improved since the index was introduced in 2011, except in 2017, when the score increased slightly.

Of the 77 provinces in Thailand, only three stand out, with Chiang Mai having a score of 464, followed by Bangkok (457) and Phuket (456). They are still, however, below the global average.

Move Forward party-list MP Parit Wacharasindhu, meanwhile, has proposed measures to improve English proficiency among Thais, which include a redesign of the English curriculum, new English teaching methods, which emphasise English communication rather than grammar, upgrading the standard of English among teachers, redistribution of funding to schools in the provinces, promoting English language learning after school hours and more exchange programs for teachers to learn English in English-speaking countries.
