Links Call for Papers to RELA Submission deadline: anytime The European journal for Research on the Education and Learning of Adults (RELA) is a refereed academic journal creating a forum for the publication of critical research on adult education and learning. It has a particular focus on issues at stake for adult education and learning in Europe, as these emerge in connection with wider international and transnational dynamics and trends. Such a forum is important at a time when local and regional explorations of issues are often difficult to foreground across language barriers. As academic and policy debate is increasingly carried out in the English language, this masks the richness of research knowledge, responses and trends from diverse traditions and foci. The journal thus attempts to be linguistically 'open access'. Whilst creating a forum for international and transnational debate, contributions are particularly welcome from authors in Europe and other locations where English is not the first language. RELA invites original, scholarly articles that discuss the education and learning of adults from different academic disciplines, perspectives and traditions. It encourages diversity in theoretical and methodological approach and submissions from nonEnglish speakers. All published contributions in RELA are subjected to a rigorous peer review process based on two moments of selection: an initial editorial screening and a double-blind review by at least two anonymous referees. Clarity and conciseness of thought are crucial requirements for publication. RELA is published on behalf of the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA). Invitation to submit Papers Each issue of RELA has two main sections: a thematic section with papers related to a specific theme; and an open section with papers not related to the specific theme of the issue. The open papers play a crucial part as they contribute to the debate and the diversity of the journal, and may explore new themes that have not until now been addressed in the academic community. We are therefore now inviting submissions of research papers that deals with issues related to the education and learning of adults in a broad sense. Submissions to RELA should normally be 6000-8000 words and they should be submitted through our online system at http://journal.ep.liu.se/index.php/RELA. Submission of papers for the “open” section outside theme issues is welcome at any time. As RELA uses open access publishing, all articles are available for free, and can be downloaded by anyone who has access to the Internet. Open access publishing increase the availability of your research, and thus the possibility for your research to be read and cited by others. If you have any questions about submitting a paper to RELA you can find more information at www.rela.ep.liu.se or you can e-mail andreas.fejes@liu.seto other academic journals in the field of adult education and learning
