Child: Care, Health and Development offers authors the option to publish their articles Open Access: immediately free to read, download, and share.
Original Articles: Articles reporting original scientific data based on quantitative or qualitative research are particularly welcomed. Articles should begin with a structured abstract and should ideally be between 2,000 and 3,000 words in length excluding tables and references. In the case of complex qualitative research reports, the editors may be prepared to extend the word limit to 5000 words.
If the Open Access option is selected, submissions will be subject to an APC if accepted and published in the journal: $3,850 USD / £2,570 GBP / €3,230 EUR

Child: Care, Health and Development attempts to keep the review process as short as possible to enable rapid publication of new scientific data. In order to facilitate this process, please suggest the names and current email addresses of 2 potential international reviewers whom you consider capable of reviewing your manuscript. In addition to your choice the journal editor will choose one or two reviewers as well.

Chinese tourists embarking on adventures at home are forecast to pump a record 6.79 trillion yuan ($938 billion) into the mainland economy this year — topping pre-pandemic levels for the first time. Spending by domestic holidaymakers is expected to be 11% higher than 2019 — before the Covid pandemic stopped most travel, according to a report by the World Travel and Tourism Council and Oxford Economics. Meanwhile, international visitors to China still haven’t rebounded. Spending by foreign tourists on the mainland this year is expected to hit 715 billion yuan — about a quarter below 2019 levels.

The APCs are USD 1,000. The APC is payable only once when a manuscript is accepted after peer review, and there is a no-refund policy for papers that need to be withdrawn after acceptance due to author error or misconduct.

As of August 1, 2014, authors will need to submit a USD 25.00 submission fee electronically with their manuscript. This is a non-refundable submission fee to accompany all manuscripts to help offset editorial office and review costs. There will be no other charges apart from the submission fee.
