Similarity threshold: Turnitin score thresholds are ridiculously low (10% or
less) for authors who are not in the AGBA conference ‘club’. If your paper was
used at a conference, the score can be as high as 50%. “As a guideline, the rewritten article can have a
similarity index with the original conference paper of no more than 50%.”

process: Online.
Journal Web Page Comments: An original article would normally consist of 5000-7000
words (excluding figures, tables and references), although high-quality
articles which exceed 7000 words will be considered.
Handbook
comments: We have extensive
experience trying to work with this journal and its editor over several years. Our best advice is to stay away
and find another journal. Also, be extremely cautious of the claims
coming from any emails from AGBA, which
is a conference group controlled by the editor of JGBA, Dr. Zafar. We think the comment
below, which was posted on the SJR web site under the JGBA listing contains a lot of truth in it but just scratches the
surface of what is really going on. We can also tell authors that in the past
(before Covid 19) it was extremely
difficult if not impossible to publish a paper in JGBA unless the author
attended one of Dr. Zafar’s AGBA conferences. We also find JGBA’s new $3,000 OA fee
insanely expensive when you consider it is only a Q3 ranked journal. We suggest another journal.
