Journal Web Page Comments: The Journal of Sustainability Science and Management
is an Open-Access and peer-reviewed journal aims to publish scientific articles
related to sustainable science; i.e. an interaction between natural sciences,
social science, technologies and management for sustainable development and
wise use of resources. We particularly encourage manuscripts that discuss
contemporary research that can be used directly or indirectly in addressing
critical issues and sharing of advanced knowledge and best practices in
sustainable development.
Handbook comments: This is the only journal we
have ever come across in 10 years where a paper was accepted for publication by
one editor and then rejected by the new editor prior to publication.
Fortunately, after some email exchanges, the paper was finally published
after revision. Also, in 2021 we found their
website to be horribly slow with links taking over a minute to open (obviously
being hosted on a university server).
The following are also some of the most unusual paper lengths we have
ever seen: “A full-length research paper is between 8,000 to
15,000 words, a review paper may range between 8,000 to 20,000 words, short
communication, monograph or commentary is about 2,000 to 3,000 words, letter to
editor is less than 2,000 words, and book review is about 500 to 1,000
words. “ Also, we find the following
highly unusual as most papers are assigned digital objective identifiers, not
eISSNs….”Accepted manuscripts become the copyright of the journal. In 2019, the
journal published all manuscripts with an eISSN number.” This is another journal that likes to publish papers
from their own conferences: Volume 16 Number 2 February 2021-Preview.
